That sounds like a bad ass truck

The old Ford Bubs is hot for is a 75 or 76 (I can't remember which) Highboy F-250 4×4.

It was, would pass anything but a gas station, 9 MPG. My grandfather almost got a speeding ticket in it once, hit the ramp to get on the highway and punched it. As soon as he merged State Patrol pulled him over and read him the riot act. Said the only reason he was letting him off was no one would believe that he was running 110 MPH pulling a 28 foot camper!

The Bubba has good taste, 390 I imagine?

*EDIT*
Doh! Just saw where you said it was a 360, still a sweet ride.

Beat me to it! Might as well order a pair of glass packs...

I've seen a set of glass packs blow up too many good engines.....not the fault of the muffler mind you....but the foot....

Right on do you got any pics of it?

I do not at this time. He and I are hoping to go get it soon. He's gotta do a few chores first.

This one is a truck I've been trying to get for 20 years. I finally traded a cow for it.

Gonna be Bubba's to drive to high school.

Impress that upon him and that it will last him forever. Drove them my whole life. Had this one twenty five years now. Not laying around like they used to. If I had a dollar from every guy that wanted to buy it, I could buy a new one. Wouldn't trade for a cow though.

Had to have hardened seats put in the exhaust valves, not made for unleaded fuel.

Sprung to haul half a house if you want to, bouncy seat takes up the rest.

Had to replace a lot of seals and mounts on the divorced transfer case, but otherwise the driveline is fairly bulletproof if kept lubricated.
I know these old trucks pretty good, if you ever need to know anything, I'm glad to help you and the Bubba.
