For those who like powerful lever guns, I have a.348 Winchester Mdl 71 Deluxe and a Browning Repro Mdl 95 in 30-06.

My Uncle used to have a Mdl 95 in 405, and an 86 in 50-110.

I also have a 94 Buffalo Bill Commemorative in 30-30 with a 26" Octagon barrel. Had to bring my Mother with me to purchase it in 1969, but in 1970 I was old enough to purchase my Remington 870 on my own. Still have both of them.
We have a gun thread now Mike. It’s in off topic

I got a bolt Stevens carbine in 30-30..

One piece stock.. broken. Not sure where to find another.

If it's the Stevens 325 it is simply a rebadged Savage 340. Boyd's gunstocks makes replacements.

Sorry, I know. Off topic. Just trying to help.

Back on track. The 462 @13 lbs and 6 hp is impressive. Dang I'd like to run one someday.

50-110 in a lever gun musta been fun. I had a Shilo Sharps Long Range Express in 50-140, that was a bit unpleasant. I had Shilo rebarrel it to 45-70.

Nice. Let us know how you like it!

What will you be comparing it against?

I have owned a MS660 and wanted a lighter saw that would take a 28" bar.

Have a ms362, so I'm hoping the 462 will split the difference.
My small saw is a ms261.
It won’t have the torque of the 660 but it should do ok with 28 if you don’t run too aggressive of a chain in hardwood.

I think 28" is no problem on a ported 70cc. At that length I'd be using skip chain anyway to save on sharpening time. I do know a 28" full comp on a stock 70cc is pretty slow in hard wood.

Plus the 064 is not strato (not sure if that matters or not?) and the carb is larger.
