Which is why I have 36:1 97 octane e-free for milling. & yes IMHO ported cylinder 661-c pulls better with that than any of the other expensive ways to go at it.
Enjoy whatever youse choose

Another who feels better with high octane. 36:1 ratio. Never tried so oil rich stuff. But i ll mix 2liters to check with my stock 661cm

Cool. You run that p100 yet?
Happy with how it pulls 42"square skip threw hardwoods slicing all the way. Big tree service crews- sub contracted to city, think I'm going fast with a chain that needs a touch-up while the power-head sings cutting a full 38" across:). Same fuel in ms-460 got me started with the skip on 50" & 60" milling sets. Got semi-skip for the 661 which I still need to touch up with the file to better what the factory sends out.
The only non corn is 97 octane unless I head over to Mississippi for higher cost/gallon boat fuel.
Evansaw: I use more oil because of milling stress on internals that are constant/longer time, no other reason. If I was cross cutting intermittant 50:1 is what I'd use even with the "better" cylinder

Glad to hear it. That saw always started great and behaved well. Kept tune well also.

When we cut the firewood for the villagers at the Club with the 088’s and an 880 an oldman usually puts more oil. Never asked ratio. Must vary pending how good were his previous day drinks! Lol.

I m felling trees mainly. Firewood process is for the others usually.

Can't get e free around here either. I have seen it upstate NY, but not around here. I use 93 Octane (w/ethanol) and 40:1 mix and have not had any problems milling or cutting.

When milling, I give me and the saw a break every now and then to avoid excessive heat for both of us!

I'd rather run 40:1 with ethanol than 50:1 without.
