I'd take a 461 over a 576 no doubt.

Traitor. :p

Seriously though, to each their own. I am sure a 461 is a great saw and I know they port well. I honestly believe that a 576 is awful close powerwise when both are stock. I ran a 100% stock fresh rebuild 576 against a ported 044 recently and much to my amazement the 576 walked all over the Stihl. Same log, both were running 84 DL bars, the Stihl had a brand new loop of 36RS on it and the Husky had a used, albeit sharp, loop of Oregon semi chisel on it. I know the 576 has a 5cc displacement advantage but I honestly expected the Stihl to be faster.

The 575 was such a dud and (rightfully so) got such a bad reputation that I believe most people never gave the 576 a chance. IMO it is the most underrated saw in the Husqvarna lineup.

I had the autotune one and it was a pooch. A 372 would walk all over it. Sold it. Ran one at a gtg this year and it was VERY impressive. Maybe mine was a dud?

The 576 is a nice saw, it just weight's too much. When you add in the weight factor, it is just not that impressive.

Poor joke … I tied a big lead weight to my 044 and it felt much smoother!!!

Can it pull a 33" bar with an 8 pin?
