installing the gasket and impulse diaphragm backwards will make these HD carbs pump tons of fuel to the point even with the H needle only cracked will bog the saw from fuel. With the H all the way in he saw still runs and revs out. I just went through one driving me nuts! I caused my own delima rebuilding the carb I installed the kits parts just the way they came out and the previous person got them backwards causing the original running issue...they also installed the piston backwards so I should have suspected anything and everything after finding the little gem. I'm curious what using a unlimited coil will result in the free rev rpm being set at using the carb?
BTW this is an old thread. As far as rpm’s with unlimited coil: after modding a saw, I find a tach to be almost useless. Set them by ear, and if you’re scared set em plenty rich.
