Bought a used MS440 in 2013. Always had a lousy idle - put the saw on the ground after it warmed up and it would quit; sometimes it would just quit at idle between cuts. Turns out that the fuel hose was the culprit. The upgraded hose (part #1128 350 760) is rugged and has two o-rings which keep it separated a bit from the manifold. Fixed the idle. I'm posting this for others who might be seeing the same issue.
