You think?
I've never ran one period but it feels like it has to much blow down.
Remember what a stock MS460 feels like to you J.

That's 6hp. A well built 60cc saw will make that or a bit better.

So if it's cutting better than a stock 460, you're there.

I'm not 100% that's what it is but it has a bunch of bd.

Anybody know what stock compression is for one?

my 362 type I
Came to me smoked. It leaned out. 90psi with transfer. Popped the limiter on the H screw and it was set at 5/8 and only went to 3/4. Closed was 3/8 wtf...
Gasket delete fresh (specked) am golf (piston only) and Cabers. Crank hit the piston pin walls. Supper heavy ugly slug. Two tanks 155 cold 160 hot. Mine runs good with the gasket delete, 02o off the key and exit hole opened up. It was pig with the stock muffler and ignition timing. Saw lacks top end like a 361. It does pull a burried 24" 3/8 full comp better than the 361. 16-20" bar is no contest, 361 FTW. AV is a bit better in the 362. It will be right there with a big rod 44 or 440. Lacks 044 top end rpm. Runs like a stock 460 small single port. The piston is too heavy. The transfers definitely need work. The saw is still a work saw fuel sipper.
IMO, IS it worth porting, maybe. If it has any magic to give I think it is in the piston timing/flow and correct transfer height. The saw has some advantages like more intake volume built in to it. Getting the most out of that should be the key to better RPM and HP. It is all a waste if you don't lighten that big slug of a piston. Lightened OEM seems like the only way with a strato motor.
The modded single port 362 muffler wakes up a stock or modded 361. Hollow can with a much better shape. Is the weight worth the AV? IMO yes if your pulling larger bars in hardwoods 24-28". The oilers need work on both to keep a 28" wet.

Your saw sounds good J
Does it run as good as a stock/Muff modded 441?

I don't think I've ever ran a stock 441

I got nothing to compare it to but it don't feel right.

It's 180lb on a new p&r
The port timing is different from stock but I kept the same amount of bd.

I'm going to raise them 5 degrees and try it.

90cc chain meh...

I think my old 034 will flog it.
Sumtin's definitely wrong then. Mine feels pent up, but, it is for good reason, economy. Jack them up without changes. Mine looked very close to 361 type uppers. Plenty of volume there. Staggered and one set angled slightly up. Wait... did you dual port the muffler yet?
