Probably have to measure from the bottom of the intake up to the stratos, and then transfer it to the piston

Good read Dan. Thanks for posting that.

What does equaling the stratos actually do for the Saw? Back fill the transfers with more pressure?

Leaner. There's more fresh air. They can run stupid intake timing compared to a normal 2 stroke

If they are already leaner, why add to the strato timing? Wouldn't this make it even leaner? Or does the autotune compensate for it?

Cylinder is junk but dave is sending me one so hopefully I'll finish one night next week.
He also had a top cover so this is going to be a very nice saw.

Roger
How do you see when the strato open?
On the 362/441 and others with hidden uppers, I blow into the lowers with my own sweet lips while holding a finger over the piston pin hole on the inside of piston, and slide piston up and down to find opening point. It's kinda hard to explain, but real simple in principle.

I smell exactly what you are stepping in.
Thanks Alan

Good deal. A little harmonica-playing experience would come in handy when trying to shape your lips to those lowers!

Oh, and the Stihl seems to like a little head start on the stratos over the intake; must have to do with their small, short tunnels and lack of crank stuffers.

I do several 441's and it looks just like one so I just did it the same as I do 441's

Didn't know any numbers that work so I just guessed. I'll probably have to raise the transfers more.
