HELP! Ms271 help

I got a straight gassed ms271. I can't find readily available parts for it. Can I stick a ms291 long block in it? Thanks.

You can so long as it has the same style intake. There are some with the bolt-on intake boot like the 261, and some with a round spigot style intake.

Have you tried to clean the cylinder? Might be salvageable and then it will be a 50$ piston and crank seals

It has deep gouges in the plating.
