Well my saw just arrived at the metro NY distribution center, so it’s across the pond. But I guess it will be a few more days there.

At least it’s progress.

It’s going to replace the 461 as their mid size felling saw.

The 462 was always supposed to replace the 440/441 saws. IDK why it’s not the 442...

A 461 with a touché more grunt.

I agree, the 500i is really the 5cube 461(77cc) replacement, the 462 should be a 442 that replaced the 441. But this don't suit Stihl's marketing agenda, they want the 500i to be new in tech, new in size (5cube) & considered a new class of pro saw. And as the MS400 is coming, it just suits them too market a 462 IMO. The price of these new saws has me concerned & I come from the country of the ridiculous priced saw.
