I don’t see that Randy. I read Scott’s numbers and yours, but this pic certainly shows the ex side of the primary opening first.

I could have dysreflexia this am though.

Durations make my head hurt.

Here's what I have for opening points.


Squish: .022”

Exhaust: 101°

Mains: 123°

Secondaries: 120°

Intake: 82°

That's using a ring in the bore.....not trying to shine a light to "see" when they open.
Arent the secondaries opening physically higher in what you posted?

Not trying to prove anyone wrong here, just wanna get it straight in my head.

Looks to me like the primaries open first (exhaust side), then secondaries (intake side)
Ports look to open on exhaust side first.... something I have been doing for a while now, just by a little bit.

I see what you are talking about now. I was concentrating on the opening point toward the exhaust and mis-named the ports.

I stand corrected.
