Coffee truck honks and even sitting fitters scurry outside.
But if she has a nice tushy...

Pick me! Whichever you feel most comfortable with! Similar to taking an animal with a rifle, know your gun and feel comfortable with it. I personally until the 462 was loving the 362 type II with a 20" ES. 99% of what I wanted to cut could be done with this saw. Bore from both sides and let it rip. The more I use my 462, the more this saw is taking its place. AYYYYYY 462 Thread! What did I win?And what saw would that be for logging?
Well guess I should of kept on scrolling down... proceed.A good logger can cut a huge tree if he has to with a 20” bar if bore cut from both sides and bore cut out the face. I try to use larger than a 20” bar on a logging saw. I’m too tall for it lol, just harder on my back even though it weighs less. 24/28 best for me on everything 70-90cc. You don’t have to cut from both sides as much and making your face cut is easier.
*B-S.... because all I saw was me picking on Dominic
No Bueno Senor.... eyyyy4 pages of this crap today?
Aye yi yi... I need more tequila...
It took me time to get them to match up to where I am at now. The lighter saw with the bar balance like the 362/462 make it easier for me to have more consistent plunges. My local tree guy can go in from both sides with a 20" and make it look like one cut every time … me … not so much, so I prefer the longer bars.
As Clint Eastwood said "you have to know your limitations".
This was quite a few big ones on the last job. But most are 2ft and less on the new job. They previously logged it years ago and did a *s-wordty job, when you do that, it grows back not so great. It really benefited from us going in there. Couple nice cherry logs and couple veneer hard maple with no heart. Couple of the big oaks were 2ft diameter range. Nothing crazy. Some smaller ash in there, borer is just taking hold in this part of ct. Lot of poplar and soft maple grew back, we cut some of that as well. We don’t choose the trees, forester comes in from the mill and selectively marks them. You felling trees much larger than the bar length Mason? Or pretty much about 25" diameter?
Derails are welcome but can we please get back to Fancy Pants Pipefitter discussion? You think this is a saw thread?Pick me! Whichever you feel most comfortable with!
