Yeah, decomp is good stuff, I tweaked my dominant arm’s rotator cuff the other day trying to start my ms-250, that was cold soaked for a week at sub zero temps in shed... future shoulder surgery is just not worth it...

Wood Docs top end swap sounds like great little tinkering project!

Mike's 026 is ported. Why remove a ported 026 top end to put a stock jug on it?
Doesn't really make sense.
I have many saws. At this stage in my life, I do not use decomp valves. I really just forget to use them. My Hacked up 660 is plugged kicking 195 ft.lbs.
If anyone is worried about starting a saw, try the DOLMAR easy start. Very easy to use.

Not for nothing Jeff, but part of the reason your 660 is not a beast to start is because the Exhaust is rather high in it. Trust me, that makes a big difference.

And yes, my 026 is ported by Doc Al, so switching the jug is not an option. I really like a decomp when you are re starting a saw in cramped quarters, or on a pile of logs, etc. IMO, their value in those situations is priceless.
