You are so right, that IS a total solution. Only problem is the bigger saws are not there yet.
This is an interesting test, not far in he states the Stihl keeps cutting out, to cool,
then goes on to sing its praises, which dont matter as it will be parked up when the
other less well dressed models are working.

This saw does quite well as he runs it until flat, the echo in the above video has the grunt though.

I can recommend the red Makita 2-stroke oil, once the saws are warmed up no notable smoke nor unpleasant smell @ 40:1.
The red Dolmar 2-stroke oil is similar, but it seems to build more carbon deposits in the engine.

Do not use Divinol, white smoke, notable smell, gives me a killer headache within minutes.

The lower the flash point the easier it is for the oil to burn. There is quite a range. There are a few charts out there listing them so you don’t have to go look them all up.
Some oils and fuels just don’t smell good. I used to hate silkoline could not stand being behind someone who was running it. Also oxygenated fuels can be a bit more nasty. Had a really expensive elf fuel I ran that was $25/gallon. Couldn’t even leave a can that you had opened in the garage as it would permeate the house.

I would agree with tru fuel and VP being the cleanest. Never ran Aspen
They are, no benzine i believe. Benzine is a terrible carcinogen as well. Its also been proven on project farm that these fuels lubricate better than gasoline.
Everything is saying to use these fuels, except for the price!!!!

Why so expensive? Is there not enough demand or does it cost that much to make aspen or motomix?

I noticed autotune and mtronic saws usually smoke a bit less than normal carbed saws no matter the fuel mix since they are always tuned “right”.
