Deletes are the cheap part really. The transmission later on will be the expensive part.Deletes are not cheap. I have about $2500-$3000 in turbo back exhaust, xrt pro programmer, south bend clutch and so on.
Mine has the g56 6speed so far so good.(knock on wood)Deletes are the cheap part really. The transmission later on will be the expensive part.
One code is the throttle valve. I wanted deletes anyway so while I'm doing this stuff I'll go ahead and eliminate one of the problem areas.EFI live tuning is one of the good ones out there . I have it in the Chevy . But I know recently a few of my buddies put it in there Cummins trucks. they said they wish they would not have waste d there money on the other tuners . I'm not so sure a delete of def and dpf are going to help here . Waiting for my buddy from Cummins to get back to me
Mine is a 2015 lml Duramax and it's all deleted . EFI live will make the tune work for truck .. trans tire size everything .With EFI Live, you can control most everything.
But I think there were a few changes made a few years back so you couldn't defeat the DPF, or Regens.
With the tunes mine don't blow black smokeDiesels may be emissions exempt but it is still illegal to tamper with emissions controls. I heard about a guy in S.D. that was caught and it was like 10k for the fine plus he had to put it back to stock.
If it don't blow black take it back
