I paid around $750 for Moog and installation. After he showed me the $1400 Snap on kit for these axles I had no interest in messing around trying to do it myself.
My Stepson is a Diesel Mechanic and has all the same Snap-on or Matco goodies to do it all,,, I am blessed!!!!

Closer to tax time they'll start moving. I hope to have 2 more ready to go today besides the 2166.

Yeah buddy I have a really clean low hr MS660 that got overheated because a numbskull wanna be tree guy didn't have sense enough to clean out the sawed fines from behind the clutch drum or grease the clutch needle brg,,,,, I had to clamp a big vise grip on the drum splines and tap it off with a ball peen hammer,,,, Sheesh, I thought the brake was stuck but it was all that junk behind the clutch,,,, the Cylinder cleaned up beautifully and I've got a brand new OEM Piston to put in it !!!! Woot Woot!!!! it vacuum/pressure tested to OEM spec!!! just waiting for a few more OEM parts to get here tomorrow... fuel line and impulse hose

Got my South Bend clutch installed a few weeks ago... it took a little getting used to, but so far, so good. Next up is all new steering parts (which I already have), and possibly a new upgraded Mopar HD steering box. My old box is starting to feel a little sloppy. Then maybe some decent filtration.

Oh, well... at least I don't have a payment.

Peter told me way back to slip it as soon as you get about 25 miles on them. 4th gear launch did it.

I've been towing some big loads, so I hope I didn't mess it up by not following the proper break in procedure... I gave it about 100 miles then took the dump trailer and got a 22,000 lb. (gross) load of sand.

That should have slipped it a little. You'll know when it smooths out. It's night and day. After the first sled pull it was super smooth.

My truck doesn't have the balls to do that. I did turn my Smarty up to level 5, though.
It takes 550-700 to do it. 5th gear is 750 plus. One guy had his clutch not break down after trying a 5th gear launch

Mine is a 325/625 truck, plus the Smarty... level 5 is 90 hp. I was just reading an article where they dynoed a stock 5.9 @ 264/509 at the rear wheels, and 360/638 with the Smarty on level 5. That's not even close to 550...

I had beta tunes for mine. 175 HP injectors, 64/71 turbo, modded CP3, 3850 CB dual disc, eliminator fuel system, and Hamilton diesel valve springs. It would leave the line at around 2200 rpm and 35 lbs of boost. Top out around 55 lbs and egt 1600° +. With a bully dog on it with some of their race programs it would peg the 60 lb boost gauge out and drain the rail after about 10 seconds of WOT. A
