Great thread Carl you made that 421 show its worth it's a little powerhouse I've been preaching the merits of this 40cc class saw for a while now over this side of the pond

Well we will put the 421 to a test later today. I bought this saw off of @stihl livin awhile back and just finished porting it up this morning. Little tune when we get to the woods and we'll see how they stack up. This saw will be wearing a 20" 3/8 Sugi all the time. 421 wears a 16" 3/8 lo pro(picco)

Almost forgot to add vids:

She revs noticeably better and has way, way better scavenging when you add the eyebrow ports(here she is in seasoned red oak):

And here is Andrew with it in the field cutting sycamore. You can hear how eager they rev once the xfer ports are modified.
It now actually has 6 ports that actually do work

And this gives you some idea how much I work the lowers and about how much the uppers are modded(though about ANY amount of grinding on the upper part of the primaries on this saw makes a huge difference):
