Well, after getting my Stihl 026 into good running condition, I'm ready to start on my second saw. My wife and I picked this up at an auction last year for $6. It wasn't running, so I tore it to pieces and found that the fuel line was completely split in two. Then I boxed it up and haven't looked at it since.

I've ordered the fuel line now and I'm interested in getting her running.

I know it's a saw people love to hate but I'd like to get it running anyway.

Does anyone have any advice as to what I should be looking for while it's apart?

Does anyone have a service manual?

Thanks.

@ray benson for the manual.

As for your question, everything needs checked. The reason people don't like these is they forget to check something then the entire saw has to come back apart again. These will make you a good saw mechanic, as it teaches you to do it right the first time.
Here's an excellent vidja on the mini Mac.

Started pulling the engine completely apart to check seals and the piston and cylinder and everything.

Having trouble getting the clutch off. Am I just not strong enough?

Would it be safe and ok to put a socket wrench on the flywheel side and an impact (Milwaukee cordless) on the clutch side to get the clutch off?

Little Homies are about as annoying, but once you learn a couple of tricks to getting them in and out of their shells they arent so bad.
On the clutch, are you turning the nut clockwise or counter clockwise?
Cant remember on these, bit the 10 series has a left hand thread, then you have to put a little pressure under the clutch drum and tap the crank with a SOFT face hammer to unseat the taper fit. Just like on the flywheel.
