Time for the rear av mount, I call this the mcbob Method because that where I heard the idea years ago, I like it, could do things differently, and I might make an aluminum spacer instead of the stainless washers in the future. I like that you keep the full cooling fins on the head and no welding or mods are needed to the head, plus it looks great! Lol

This is the underside, next time I think I will make a one piece plate and weld the bolts.

On the top side, I use these solid shaft spacers to space the shroud alway from the intake manifold

Just need the GEM box muffler lol.
That will go on the next build! This one I wanted to keep, like they built them, all McCulloch 1974ish!

I should have some more parts coming for the other builds soon! Then I can use up these dang kart motors! lol then some induction testing!! Also want to test some different mufflers, gem, McCulloch box and puck mufflers

Just leave the baffle plate out and it will make dogs howl and your ears ring for half an hour .
That is a fact! My other saw has it removed and has a major bark!

I have basically the same muffler on a gear drive Mac 650 ,87 cc .With the baffle in place it's loud but doesn't have the guts as when the baffle is out .That old duffer will wind up and is louder .

Wanted to show a couple differences in the spark plug in the reason why the covers are different, here’s a picture of the standard three eights reach saw plug, and a half inch reach kart plug, I haven’t been able to find a short version of the half inch reach plug, it isn’t a huge problem, because you can modify the Saw cover and put the kart boot on, The 101B came with a half inch reach plug head, but there are three eights reach heads out there, just something to think about if you’re planning on a build
