FWIW I got one of the very last rolls of Carlton round chisel skip in .404 .058 that Baileys had right before they changed ownership .The hard nosed 48" on the avatar saw is .058 McCulloch bar . I've got 3 loops for that thing, two in chisel one in chipper .143 driver lengths ,takes about 20 minutes or one beer to file .

Should be very interesting...

Mark

I'm hoping so Mark, I've got a couple different intake ideas for this.

Is this one of your dad’s old cylinders? And is this going to be one of ones you powder coated?

Nosir, the largest bore my dad's kart motors have is .020" over, but I'm sending that block in to take it to .030" over. This block I paid $18 for at a swap meet in Salem
a couple years ago. The old guy that had it didn't even know what it was. The bore was around .050" over but was in real bad shape with a lot of pitting. I had a NOS
Wiseco .080" over piston I'd bought years ago but Terry found this Burris .068" over slug and rings which put the bore back in good shape. I did some porting on
the block prior to having it worked over.

I remember how quick my two brother's 101's were back in the early 1980's.
Using today's pipe computer programming and a good builder will makes those little engines really rip.
Especially in 10"×10" pine!

It would be pretty interesting to see what a modern pipe would do!

I have a 797 that i restored a few years back. When i took it apart i noticed something
strange about the piston. Not like all the others i had seen. I measured it and low and
behold it was a .070 over. It has a whole different sound over a 797 with std or smaller
over bore pistons. I figured it was close to 130cc's

Its still incomplete, but I have a a 797 that is .050 and it too, definitely looked different when I pulled the muffler for a peek.

The bigger bores do seem to sound different, I did the math on the bigger over-bores .060=129.15cc .070=129.9cc and .080=131.4cc.
It’s close to one cc for ever .010 over

Got a couple gem box mufflers to test out, Eventually going to try a back to back test versus the park muffler, will be interesting to see the differences. View attachment 236630

I've got a similar one - a version that was popular in the 70's on the Super Series engines.
