I opened an Amazon credit card, and ended up paying $260 for mine. Sweet little saw!
I'm really surprised to hear you say that as there one of the most torquier saws out of the box. Especially a 5100 without the cat.I like the look of the outer spike on that thing. I only have a small inner spike on my PS5100, but troof be told, she isn't the kind of saw to dog in and really lug. I have to have a bit of a lighter hand to keep her eating. Does the torque really step up with the port work?
Oak. I actually just found out about Ohio a couple days ago so I won't be able to make that gtg. That doesn't look like no Ohio test wood either.
#hedge or locust?

Now for the torque question. I run a 20" 3/8 bar on mine and from intial cuts this one just may take mine once it's broke in. It'll be close.
Never ran a stock 5105. But the ported one I have from Carl is the strongest 50cc saw I've ran. Carl builds a heck of a Dolmar work saw.I like the look of the outer spike on that thing. I was hoping you guys wouldn't reveal the price and Amazon link![]()
They aren't weak even just with a cat removal ....IMONever ran a stock 5105. But the ported one I have from Carl is the strongest 50cc saw I've ran. Carl builds a heck of a Dolmar work saw.
Thank you Kenneth.Never ran a stock 5105. But the ported one I have from Carl is the strongest 50cc saw I've ran. Carl builds a heck of a Dolmar work saw.
My stock 346 ne on a 15" 1.5mm .325 and my stock UK Dol 5105 on a 15' 1.3mm .325 sugi light ....they are the same without the light sugi. The 5105 is the strongest most forgiving saw I build in the 50cc class to date. That's my opinion they are also IMO the best out of the box 50cc saw ya can buy. If they would put them on a slight diet and make them the weight of a 550 or 261V2 they would do nothing but get better. And this all said I've heard threw the grape vine. The 5105 and 7910 are in the chopping block for replacement. I assume there gonna make them a strato motor. But not sure that's a bad thing. If they can keep the weight close. Just look at the 6100. That's one mean dude stock and ported as well. IMO it's a true 24" bar 60cc saw.
Yes and use a center drill to drill out all the spot welds. It can be kind of a pain. lol.Do you uncrimp it?
