They have some really cool photos! It's so cool to open up these 'ol trees and see beauty.

I bet they can get down through a slab at a pretty good click with a dual head set up!

Rolled the log to get a better idea how these cracks run and it appears to follow the right limb in this pic.

Guess I'll try and cut along the vertical crack so it will fit in the mill.

Well sheet, I didn't post 'em up here!
This was definitely a learning experience. I should not have rolled this stump from the way it came off the trailer. Those cracks in the base went up the full length of the piece.

The slabs on the right side yielded the best figure.

The rest is probably not going to stay live edge and will get finished to boards. I did run into a spot that appeared to have a boil looking figure.

Not to hijack the thread, but since wolverine showed interest in the dual head setup too, how crucial is it to synch the rpms on these saws running on the same bar?
