I hope lol. But for the time being I kind of like them long so they go over his shoes. The only cutting I let him do now is cookies.
Wait I thought you had it then sold it then have it? Now its sold again?
Iv said this before.....All about "Subjective Perspective" Jeff .Do you have any other 60cc saws to compare it to? For reference?
That's purty...
Give ya a smokin deal on one JeffYessir!!!

Can I ask why you source pure alkylate, but don't bother with a superior oil? Seems the good-petrol part of "great 2-cycle fuel" is the hard/expensive part, not using a proper/premium synthetic oil for increased-stick to the bar&chain!Never. Here's a list of fixes that i recall:
Coil replaced under warranty, had been badly assembled, coil wire rubbed against the flywheel, causing grounding.
Carb diagphrams changed.
Throttle safety mechanism broke when i fell on it.
Muffler gutts broke loose last week.
Top cover replaced when it wore and rattled loosely.
Handle heater wiring repaired.
Chain catcher replaced many times, is quite week.
Engine still in prestine condition, i run alkylate fuel with cheapest full synt oil.

Any elaboration is appreciated, after learning Re gas-station petrol (even the eth-free I'd been using) I switched to those pre-mixed cans (and add some synthetic oil to bring it from 50:1 to 40:1) and won't switch back after learning how big a deal it is! But I've already been racking my brain, "hmm is it worth finding a small air-strip and buying AV1000?" to save $$$$$ over those canned fuels, would be curious where you're sourcing non-oiled alkylate fuel if you don't mind
Ok time to go check your channel it seems to be getting a lotta thumbs-up here![]()
hrrrmmm....why a rag w/ fuel instead of pressurized cans of carb-cleaner (for metals) and brake-cleaner(for plastics)? I use the Walmart $2 cans of these all the time on my saws, body gets brake-clean spray and bar/chain/sprocket-area get carb-cleaner (basically brake-cleaner w/ some oil)I am with Simon on this a 421 is a nice saw to have around. And I have OCD also and as I’m no a pro cutter and want stuff to last forever all my kit gets air lined off after and a clean with a 2 Stoke mix doused cloth. Look new as.
(and re your alkylate, found the post where you mention your source, sadly never found something comparable here but I'm coastal there's **gotta** be someone selling pure alkylate around here if it's legal that is, even regular eth-free petrol is illegal to use in a car here, literally have it listed on the pumps sometimes although of course the proprietors don't care as long as you're paying!)
Double D I believe. Usually I unscrew the screw on them and slot it with a dremel using a mini cutoff disc so I can use a screwdriver.Just seen this thread re visited, so I thought I would chime in with a Q. I would guess I've cut around 15 ton of wood with this 6100 now into approx 4ft lengths. Time to lean it out a touch as until you seriously bury it it's still running rich. What's the splined screw driver I'm looking for on this one. Not come across Makita/Dolly splines yet. Cheers
