What's the little air door in the cover?

Weird pitting inside the clutch. Looks like from electrical discharge or something.

That’s a air shutter for when it gets below about 30 degrees you open it to warm the carb/airfilter to keep it from icing. You don’t want it open in warm weather. I’ve never had to use it on any of my saws even in really cold temps. Maybe I’m lucky?

I never had to open the warm air winter shutter either, on any of my saws.

Plug looks good to me.

Those are spot weld markings from clutch drum assembly, don't worry about it.
Your drums needle bearing looks dirty and dry, clean and lube it.
