Finally got rid of my cat!! It sounds better and seems stronger. I have it roughly tuned but haven't put it in wood yet. What if any power gains can I expect. I also have the HD filter setup. I figure since it breathes better it should noticeably run better?

Your gonna need to hang on tight. The saw will want to jump out of your hands and fell trees itself. Be careful now.

It's hard to say how much removing the cat made on my saw. I cut the majority of the cage inside too and opened the inlet to match the exhaust port. It was an improvement but I never timed anything. I feel that it did help the saw run cooler.

However swapping to a 7910 top end really made a huge difference. A simple "bolt on" makes a large chassis for the cc saw into a light for the cc saw if that makes sense?

Makes sense to me. If the chassis will support a larger power source, it generally means less wear and tear to do the same workload.
