Hey Kevin, have you done any Mag?

At least for me, the filler likes to ball up more than aluminum. I think that's how Shaun does a lot of freehand build ups.

Not yet, but I've done a ton of aluminum.
Once I have my lathe all tooled up (another month or so), I will be looking to get some AZ92 rod so I can give her a go.
LI Power in Hicksville usually has some skeletons laying around, I will try to grab a clapped out mag case so I wont have to worry about the learning curve

I have done a few myself. The most recent was a broken handle on a Homelite. I will say though that Shaun is very good you cannot go wrong with his work.

How are you getting down into that jug for the chamber weld? Long cup, or just an Argon flood and giant stickout?

I posted a picture of it. 4XXL or 5XL cup on a standard collet, then pretty decent stick out so you can see what you are doing. The only place I've been able to find the cup is straight from China.

I think I have one. Feeding rod in a little 44mm jug gonna be tricky.

Have you ever tigged next to the nikasil? Id like to lower the exhaust roof without changing the squish band, I'm not sure if the plating will pop off or warp.

I use a 20 series torch.
