359 case repair advice needed

A local welder that Dave found. He claimed to know all about it... Obviously... I'm so bummed for him...

Dave got his saw back and put it together. first pull on the starter and the weld fell off... He's bummed. We'll be looking for a 357 / 359 case for him now. Hate to throw more money at welding it after this experience.

Looks like they used aluminum filler instead of magnesium.
