Got this one for $12 at a yard sale. Guy had $18 marked on it. I asked what's up with that green saw...? He says it starts and idles but dies when you hit the throttle. I said can you show me? He does and it does just what he said. He then says I'll take less for it. He says give me $12! It needed a carb kit and fuel line. Also had some nasty goop in the fuel tank. I sand blasted it and coated the tank. Bought a complete gasket/seal kit on ebay for $13 shipped. That kit had like 35 pieces in it. Only unusable part was the foam for under carb or intake it was dust! Still haven't finished it but should run this spring!

The 245 is a great saw Dan.
I really like the looks of that saw! Have been looking for a replacement bottom of the tank/handle for a while. Had a little rot but I'm sure I got it plugged. Just have to find the time to get all my projects finished! Couldn't belive that little saw was in 70cc class!

Thanks to you guys I didn't have to buy a new cylinder for it. Used the mastermind method on it and the piston still looks good .. it makes my 029/039 conversion want to run and hide . :)

I have many that were good/great deals, this is just one, but a good one, bought it without a top end on the cheap, found a good used cylinder and a NOS thin ring piston and rings, looked to be a very low hour saw, less than 150. in this one....:)DSCF0103.JPG DSCF0105.JPG

So, when I decided to start wrenching on beat up saws, I started with some MS200T's. Talk about jumping into the deep end. Those are a whole lot of saw packed into a very small space. Not terribly cheap, but better and cheaper than the original MS201T's. Sorry, no picts.
I own 2 200T's .One was given to me from Adam Clark which I souped up .The other is a stocker I got from a dealers dead pile for 20 bucks. It had spit the pin from the brake band that lodged in the flywheel and they thought it was hung up .Got lucky on that one .

I occassionaly do the saw work for two tree services and have worked on a bunch of 020 T's and 200's.IMO that little Jack Russel terrier of a saw is the best trimmers saw ever built. Those things were born to run with the wind .I'd often thought if 100 plus cc saws had the power to weight ratios of these things I'd be afraid to operate them .

Got this for $50 out of my local dealers "junk pile". Needed a bar stud reinstalled that I found inside the oil tank and had a pin hole in the fuel line near the carb. All free fixes and after a good cleaning I flipped it for $150.
