Been working on this for a while. Getting to the 40% stage figure I could share before I lose all my pics.

Echo cs 8000 with a 395 top end. 38mm stroke 56mm bore.

Stock echo rod on top. 70mm
Honda scooter rod on bottom 80mm

Cylinder on slight trimming to get the covers on.

Gonna have to get creative with an intake block/boot. Stock 395 boot is too long. Plan on running a wj carb.

This thing has some wild numbers for 94cc. Gonna try it as is then port in stages.

Cylinder extension had to be turned down a bit in diameter to fit the echo case. The ex side bolt holes lined up perfect, intake side needed to be opened up a bit.

Both saws share a 13mm piston pin (cs8000/395xp)

Got the 395 jug to fit the echo case, try the 395 piston it is .220 squish.... Not good. Couldn't find a taller piston.

Thought the rod was shorter on the echo, not the case. Both rods are 70mm.

So I press apart the echo rod, of course it has odd bearing sizes. Only rod I could find was 10mm longer... luckily the 395 piston is about the tallest piston made lol. 066 BB piston skirt wasn't wide enough to cover the ports, so I try a 056 mag2. The dome just kissed the band. Hence the pop up.

Parts list so far

Echo case,covers,crank.
Husqvarna 395 cylinder, am 372 muffler
Stihl piston/pin bearing
Honda connecting rod
Poulan wj carb most likely

And a whole bunch of extra/scrapped pistons,cranks,rods

Well it is a good dust collector... Stalled out a bit. Intake side is going to be very tricky to fit in that little carb box.

Echo 8000 use a hda carb, borderline enough carb for 80cc let alone 94. Wj kind of fits the carb box.

Then I got a bit side tracked with the 730 hybrid, that basically fell together compared to this.

I'll give it another go eventually. May end up a naked cant saw, but it will make noise one way or another. Until then it's got a cozy spot on the shelf.
