Yep she's my hunting buddy. She's hunted since 12 and just had her 23rd birthday 2 weeks ago. My they grow up fast. She has 2 over 11 1/2 inches long while I'm still looking any over 11. Yep she spoiled. [emoji38]

Leadfarmer, I hope that whichever young man she chooses realizes how lucky he is. Sure wish I knew where all the hunting girls were at when I was 23. My wife comes from a very outdoors crazy family but she doesn't do it herself.

Here's a pic of some of the birds that hang around our house. The largest group we've had was more than 60 birds. During the winter, I go through about 50lbs of food a week, feeding these guys.

Yep. Like in my house, I fight for pecking order every morning. And everyone else are hens.

I just gave up and learned to accept my place at the bottom. Easier that way!

Currently giving this turkey hunting thing a try. I called in a hen (not legal to shoot) so I must be doing something right. Also caught the attention of two big ones on the other side of the fence but they never came over.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen Turkey shot and left while pheasant hunting when I was a kid.
