That is certainly a nice example........with the original box even....40 odd years later!!!

Other than storage space needed, I've never understood why people throw away factory boxes for expensive items like guns and saws. I have the original boxes for every new gun, saw, and rifle scope I ever bought.

I was tempted by the condition of this saw. I adjusted the spring and cleaned the clutch side. Tomorrow is the first launch. The heating switch is broken, we'll see what position it is in 451EV

It won't be that fast 😉 there is no fuel line, the engine shutdown switch is broken and the switch's grounding is missing, the carburetor is loose and the gasket doesn't fit very well. Now at least I know why the starter spring broke 😎🤠

My 451 has 2 thick rings, were they like that? Has anyone replaced the piston?

Bought a pair of 2171's. One is a 2171W, I can see it has the heated carb and front handle. Do these have a heated rear handle as well?
I saw that some are called 2171 WH, but I can't find much info on them.

The regular one is scored, but the other one seems to be good. Just very dirty.1000075765.jpg

What do the letters at the end of WH mean?

Working on a jonsred 2054 for a guy at work, I must say one of the dumbest throttle cable assembly I’ve ever seen. Hooks on carb and in back of handle with throttle lever pulling on it in the middle. He said he has a new cable he ordered years ago for it so hopefully he has it because there’s almost no parts available for it.

Hey, does anyone have any 75 or 751 projects?

I'm really trying to get a nice runner together but I've been through 4 of these and have taken a beating on each one.

Someone dropped off (most of) a Jonsereds 52e a while ago and I started looking it over today. All but 2 plastic flywheel fins are broken off, stop switch is gone, and the recoil spring is broken and rusty. At the moment there is no spark but I haven't done anything with it to try and track down why.

I know I can come up with a replacement for the spring (just rework one from another saw), I can probably come up with a replacement for the switch if I have to, but what about the plastic flywheel fins? I see at least one all aluminum one on eBay that says it fits a range of models, is this a possibility?

In addition, I was reminded of a 521 in the attic with a bad heater switch. Any idea of a Part Number for the switch and is there any possibility of finding a working one?
