I also went through this 621 this week. It was pretty rough when it came in.
I like to start by giving everything a good scrub and inspection.
I discovered there was a leak at the joint between the cylinder and crankcase so I removed the gasket and put it together with Threebond. The carburetor also needed a little cleaning, the air filters on these were nothing more than a brass screen.
The saw now starts, runs, idles, and oils. I will be looking for a clutch or clutch spring as the idle speed needs to be so low (to keep the chain from moving) that the engine will stall at times.
I don't really need three of these (two are in the display already) so I'll either keep it for a GTG saw or sell it if anyone would like one.
