Apparently that is not the correct part. I ordered it and it does not fit. It is too big. Any other suggestions?
I might have something

can you measure your thread diameter and the “head” of the cap? Mine would be from a 2159 chassis I think?

I ordered another one already. Thanks though

If you have a J-red and want a wide-type clutch cover, I "converted" one of the cheap Husky covers to match and I think it looks pretty good. I don't know the paint color, I just dropped the cover off at a local auto shop and they painted it for me.

Ereplacement parts, I got the last two they had on hand. There were about 1/2 a dozen other parts sites that still said they had them, though, and some were a bit cheaper.
If a person could get one to measure up I have buddy that could print them out before they become impossible to get

I just ordered a couple 2188 decals off eBay. I could probably send one if you can get them repopped
I think a picture and an actual size copy of a printer would be sufficient so he can measure it up. Or even just an actual size color copy is all, but I’ll talk to him quick later to find out for sure. He needs to run his printer every so often to keep ink from drying up and he can do small stuff like this at that time or fit it on edge when printing a banner. He’s going to make me some more old style Stihl vinyls since I’m almost out.

Heres a nice one owner original early 2094 no decomp i picked up for 5 benjamins. All paperwork and 12 loops of 24" lgx and the original bar. Guy was 68 and he sold it to buy......a brand new husqvarna 550..lol. I told him if i knew i would have traded him a nice 3 series saw for it.

I can't imagine starting mine without a decomp. To be young again. Tried mine once and it ripped the handle out of my hand. Now I always use the decomp. Nice saw.

Working on a 1992 670V tonight. Saw runs OK, but tore it down to restore the heat to the rear handles. I know not everyone has worked on these saws, so just thought I'd post a couple pics to give you a look. The flywheel magnets have been repaired in the past.
