5.0 is a dog.
The new 400 hp version isn’t bad, pretty much down to who’s quicker on the light in a race. Within 1/2 a truck length. Only problem with the 3.5 is timing chains, mine I haven’t done yet but know lots that have. Some at 60,000 others at 70-90 but so far mine are ok at 110,000

That was only up to the 2014 models. Did a bunch of them. I don't think I've done one on a 15 and up. The 3.5 also likes to leak coolant from the turbo coolant lines. Those suck to do!

Never driven one. Was following a guy on the YouTube with a Whipple supercharger on one, exhaust and tuned. Its a 10 second truck on street tires. Probably faster now.
5.0 can be built to over 1000 hp on stock internals and stay together

The king kutter auger isn’t designed for a sub compact or small frame compact tractor apparently. The Chinese one that everyone sells will work on a 1025r because the hoop is taller for more lift. Don’t want the China one so made a bolt in adapter that I will clean up and paint if i like the how it works. If not I’ll try a different spacing. All u-joints are still smooth no binding all the way up so should be good.
Well the riser for the auger worked perfectly so time to clean this one up and paint. Drilled 30 holes in dry clay in about 2 hours. F hand augers, never again

That's great! Yeah, post augers are the bomb! They just suck to install.

Most trucks today are luxury vehicles with a bed on the back. I sang a truck I can work.

Today's subcompact tractors are practically the IH Cubs of today. You can do just about everything with them and then some.

Well 38.5 hours on the 2025r, really like it and it’s done everything I’ve asked of it. Thinking of changing the oil on it now, John deere says 100 hours on break oil so if I change it im supposed to but the break in oil back in. Don’t personally care for the 100 hour first oil change

Mine needs them, I’ve just been adding coolant because it leaks so slow. Kinda waiting till I bring in for the timing chains and they can do it all at the dealership. My buddy just brought his 2017 in for a start up noise, guess ford has an update for the cam phasers in the newer dual injected ones.

Deere is 200 on the break in oil, on the 1025r anyway. I’m pretty sure it’s the same yanmar in both machines, it’s fine.

It is the same engine and my manual says 100 hours right inside, up from 50 hours on the older ones. But for 3 qts of oil and a 6-8$ filter I was going to change it. Pretty black now that I’ve been working the crap out of it. I did ask the dealer to check the hydrostatic drive it’s fine all within specs with gauges. I actually saw them test it and it was good, newer ones pop off a bit sooner to protect the drivetrain better.

I do 50 hours on our diesel tractor and 30 hours on the gasser. Every 2000 miles on our cars and truck. Oil and filters are cheap, engines are not. Over 200k on three of our vehicles and over 300 on one of them with no engine problems ever.

Strange, the 50 hour service is hydro only on mine. Getting ready to do the 200 hour service on my 1025, it’s 3 years old.
