I get pissed off taking just one of those out.

Props to you big guy.

They're actually easy to take out once you get used to doing it.

I grind a drill bit with a real shallow angle to keep from drilling out the back.

I should be further along on these 462s....but I ported a 660, and a 066 jug this morning.

AND.....

We had a set of twins born yesterday. The cow only wanted to take one of them.....so Glenda and I have spent some time tricking her into taking care of both of them.

Tell us about the cleanup process next: cylinders, work bench, clothes, skin. A metal bench top certainly looks the way to go for easy cleaning.

Cylinders: Blown off with compressed air, then a few minutes in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Bench: Swept off....wiped down with brake parts cleaner.

Clothes: Blown off....then in the washing machine. I wear uniform parts I get used from Ebay this time of year.

Skin: Swept off....then I use the air compressor.

Which USC brand/model do you use? What kind of fluid in it? I looked into them once, and reviews were mixed, but with enough bad ones over enough models, that I held off.

A hack like me uses a garden hose with a brass nozzle. It seems to do a very good job of getting them clean. For me compressed air isn't worth the mess of dust everywhere for what little it cleans. After the hose, I inspect every surface with either papaer towel, finger, or cotton swab for any fine dust or polishing compound residue. I'll use soap before hosing and again during a wet inspection/rinse if it is a cylinder that has been run or had oil in it.

It's a 10 liter model from Ebay. I use mean green in it.

Can't imagine not having compressed air.
