You have any slick/trick way of dealing with the cylinder extension after machining?
Other than that, these are a pleasure to work on and with for me.

Not really. I just use a burr to finish it off with after cutting the base. A mill would be best for this base machining I figure.

Ironically, I often like to quote a President who was a Democrat … JFK! "Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what you can do for your Country."

I even paid my own Tax Bill by 4/15 (and it was 5 digits) because I figured the Gov may need the money for others in need.

But, it does drive me crazy how much of our tax dollars the Gov gives out w/o any oversight!

The reason I don't do that is that it's not fair to the guys who might want to do a thread that way but can't.

I'm not really into placing myself above any other member.

Clamp a dremel in the tool post and spin the cylinder by hand while in the base cutting setup.

A mini mill of sorts.

Now prolly only worthwhile if doing multiple of the same cylinder.

But I guarantee once you have a dremel setup for the tool post, it will get used for all sorts of fun things.
