I actually think the foaming cleaner and the power washer would be about the best on one of these. I clean up almost every part of a dirty saw in the parts washer, but some of these are really bad

Used DIESEL ENGINE oil is nasty, blacker than other used oil, with caked up saw dust. Lost my faith cleaning it.

Yes indeed, stains the saw permanently. Absolutely nasty to clean.

The first saw I ever owned was a sand cast Poulan. They are sorta special to me.

shop when i was young and we took on Sachs Dolmar and i was hooked as to how they
were built. The 166 is my all time saw.
