like pickup trucks local ad guy wants more for it than what it cost new at the dealer and it has 200000 miles on it. the whole system is upside down.

Mine has over 250,000 miles. Neighbor’s 07 has over 500,000.

you often see saws on ebay (uk) for crazy prices, old 1980's saws going for double what they cost new and some not even working. Even if they are "working" you soon find out they are junk. It seems people now have more money than sense, maybe its the covid vax

Yes, I know what you mean.

Junk saws selling price starts at £100 or more , but it don’t help that those guys that know if they buy them and split them for parts, they make money etc
But it just pushes up the prices for everyone else. And eBay gets a percentage every time.
EBay is not a place for a bargains if you’re biding. Occasionally something comes up buy it now, but you’ve gotta be dam quick..

Anyway it looks like the last thing I brought off eBay hl75 longreach hedge trimmer spares repairs for 95 £ will cost me A lot more to get it running to how I want it..
I could go on but …… I’ve not pulled it to bits to find out everything it needs
