From the little bit I got to use one ( a 462 ) I felt it had great power for what it is. I used it with a 24"RW and a 7 pin. Great falling saw, can't tell if it's real thirsty or if shes got a smallish tank. The last sentence was said by a friend of mine that owns the saw, he would know better anyhow!Well, the stock 462 is very impressive … especially when you consider the weight of the powerhead. Glad I got one!
Mason, mine does not feel peaky at all, in fact when I lean on it a bit it keeps pulling real nice … and the throttle response is very impressive.
If it were peaky, it would not have done so well with the 8 pin.
