Looks like a 461 Rescue saw.

What gave that away ?

I think it's a pretty good indicator to what the R model is gonna look like on this awesome 462.

Really good actually, it has an additional "overdrive function" to oil bar's up to 36"

I like the sounds of that . If it oils a 28” I’m happy. That’s what I typically run on my 70cc saws.

Does one want a slightly tip heavy saw, or a even balanced saw? Level or tip down when holding the saw by the top handle?

I like my 70cc class saws to be slightly tip heavy with a 28" ES Light or Tsumura/Total T&L bar.

New produced machines get M-Tronic V. 3 like the MS 661 and 362.
Ver.3 gets the new white solenoid.

Did a control and there are no saws on stock at the german Stihl warehouse.


Also we should get the new MS 881 in 2019
New emission regulations make it impossible to produce the MS 880 in 2019.
So they will upgrade the MS 880 to scavenging or produce a complete new saw.
They dont tell what exactly will happen. But they said the plain numbers tell them that it wouldn't be profitable to produce a new saw, but Hans Peter Stihl wants that Stihl has the biggest Chainsaw.

Anyone know the main difference in V-3 Mtronics compared to V-2?? Is it something you can notice while running the saw or does it tell the computer more stuffs when plugged in?

The 880 really does need upgrading its looks really outa date compared to the newer saws
