What we see here is quite typical of a Western modern industry.

I myself worked 10 years in snow chain production, we were far from happy when the company started thinking more and more on production volume & profit, and less on quality and quality control system, we addressed the problems we had with the production each time a month. This happened for several years to our frustration.
The thing is they were right and we were wrong. It was thanks to the volume and the profit it gave off, which meant that we got the economy to buy up the competitor one by one, and we ended up with monopoly in Norway, in fact they are by date one of the world's biggest players in the area.
Did we have many waranty cases? I promise you that we had, but such things were already calculated.

Clearly, it's not good that Husqvarna is so sloppy with the control of the end product, the most important thing is that they deliver and provide good service with the waranty cases, in Norway they have been very round to deliver out a new saw to the unlucky customer.
My dealer told me that the profit Husky had on a pro saw now was 25% higher then the 3xx serie, if so I guess the ammount waranty cases is well calculated.

I am happy to build more shelves to take those trouble makers from anyone who wants them gone. Yeah they sure look perty on the shelves and at the end of the day that's what really matters, I mean some like paintings I like nice clean saws as my art pieces.

Sorry Steven, those who buy MS 462 waste their money.
Next year you all wanna have MS 500i
Yes! Something to finally beat the 6.3hp and 13.6lb pho weight of the original 7900 that came out almost 20 years ago. Only thing is I know the 500i will probably be a pricey piece...

I hate to say it, but the 661 switched me from putting 50+hours a week on a Stihl. To 50+ on a 390xp. Wont go back unless stihl brings the 660 back. Which will never happen.

My dealer sold 4 after they had been out a year or two. The loggers that got them one loved them and the other hated them and got 461. Some the west coast guys I talked to a lot went to 390s or buying every 660 they could find in any shape and rebuilding them.

I personally think the 441 and 661 are floppy feeling saws like running a 346 with a 24”. I’ve tried to like them and I give up. A 660 will put my hands to sleep but it’s a better feeling saw overall to me.

they had it one day for testing in Sweeden, same guys who tested MS 462 & 572XPG.
It spanked both 462&572 easily.

Sure it will be pricey, but a saw who act as its full ported, we're speaking of a real "game changer" just as 550xpg was in the 50cc class.
