I still am trying to figure out how this all comes about Sunday and by Friday Tammy is now divorcing the D-bag. Guess she finally seen the light and realized her soon to be X was just a scumbag

I suspect there are lots of factors in her decision.

I have a custom home builder custom that once told me that the stress of building a new home causes bout 10% of his customers to never move in to their houses. Either through divorce or just decide they don't want to own the place that caused them so many fights and the stay together but sell the house.

Some people just aren't built for living in the country (my wife) and unless you can comprimize that lone could cause the split.

Him being a total douche is likely just "the straw that broke the camel's back"

My wife has said that if we were to build a new home we would be fighting through the whole thing. I told her that would not be the case as she would not be allowed to even see the house until she was needed to pick paint colors. We remodeled lots of things in our current house and after doing things her way and then having to do them a second time my way she has come to the realization that being I’ve been in construction for 20 years I actually do know what I’m doing and she has to admit I was right and she was wrong. She doesn’t like to admit it but man I i get a good laugh when she has to say it.

I think that sounds pretty dead on Gary. I have helped several of my friends build their own homes. I can't speak to having a custom home built, but I can definitely attest to the stress it puts on a marriage to build a house. Lots of financial stress plus minor or major disagreements about how stuff should be done. Then there's living in a construction zone, which usually happens for at least a little while.

I admit though that I do like thinking that the OP started this cascade of events by missing that paint mark by half an inch. :)

What he needs is a couple rental pigs. Pigs'll eat anything. Even second hand douche bags like Greg. That'd fix em right up. I heard a feller on here rents 'em out by the dozen.

We Do Not Rent Pigs !!!!

He showed up bit earlier.
Pulled the saw out of the trunk of his car and asked how long it would take to sharpen the blade. He had other things to take care of and this was inconveniencing him. "No problem, I'm done."
I calmly explained that he is unappreciative, inconsiderate and really not worth knowing.
I told him that I was done with him and wasn't going to help him with anything.
Things were going well, me talking and him standing like a deer in the headlights, until he regrouped, walked toward me, told me I couldn't talk to him like that and called me a b1tch.
I didn't hit him but I put him on the ground with my hand on his throat and 240lbs straddling his chest.
We had the remainder of our conversation with him on his back and me holding him there.
My wife walked outside during our conversation, asked me if I wanted a beer when I was done and walked back in the house, acting like what she was witnessing was a normal every day occurance. She was great!
He now understands that if he ever speaks to my wife in a raised voice, I'll make sure he doesn't speak again for a long time.
As he was leaving, he acted like his feelings were hurt and he said he was sorry that we couldn't be friends any longer. I almost felt sorry for him.
I wonder if the guy is truly just an Ahole, or if there's something going on in his head and he's wired wrong. From how he was acting when he showed up, to how he acted when he was leaving, it was like I was talking to two entirely different people.
My wife is off tomorrow, so if Tammy doesn't call the house, it'll be Monday before the girls talk. I'm interested to hear what he tells her.

I was hoping this is where you would end up.

Well done.

Earlier today while splitting wood, I saw a car I didn't recognize headed to my house. I immediately hauled butt back.
It was Tammy and her sister, in her sister's car. They had gone to pick up more of Tammy's stuff. Greg had trashed the house. Broken doors, kicked holes in walls and generally made a mess of the place. He destroyed everything of hers with any sentimental value.
Tammy was upset but seeing the mess served to strengthen her resolve to get away from this idiot. Apparently her family had been telling her to get out for some time.
She did call the Sheriff and met a deputy at the house to file a report.
This guy is a piece of work.
A good divorce attorney is going to wax his ass.

. . . If it hadn't been for wife-friend thing, that's what would have happened. I would have told him to GFY......have a nice day.
She must be speshal. We're gonna need those pics
@srb08 is caring for his wife's feelings and wishes, not his wife's friend! respekt.gif

Kudos to Your wife!
She is a keeper for sure.

Half an inch really can lead to divorce. Make for a good bar story in the future.

Keep an eye out for this guy.

Tammy needs a carry permit asap.

You know the deal.
