Picked up this 2004 55 Rancher today from marketplace $150. Removed muffler P/C perfect missing cpl cover/starter screws 2 pulls starts right up. Adjusted the carb runs, idles, oils, chain brake works. Starter handle not oem but it still started lol.

Ok so I got my 261/262xp ported by Randy and I got it into some wood today. Just want to say for the size and the way it handles, it’s an awesome saw! Running a 20” bar with full comp full chisel chain and it is great. Just fantastic to run and feels so nimble in the hands, everyone needs at least one!

We have some cutting to do in Woodland, CA. I'll make sure to run a bio oil @ 100:1 to comply with the local green regs.

I'll start loaning out my best runners too. We'll bring them back to the dark side. I'm already having neighbors over on occasion to demo saws in the backyard pool area/wood lot.

I sent him one…a very clean, last year model. Traded for 395 porting.

That saw used to belong to the Wyoming State Forestry Division, and it was bought at auction. It was probably used by prisoners on work release programs. lol
