Yeah just some crazy weather 18 degrees one day and 65 the next

Do you live close to Lincolnton?
Looks like we are about an hour apart. You are in Lincoln county, I am in Rowan County.
Yep, the weather has been crazy -- all the way from single digit nights to 50+ degree nights.
Gonna be 69 tomorrow so says the weather-moobs. :aaaaa:

Does anyone have an electronic copy of the IPL for a 345? I need a few bits (oil pump, piston ring). I'm not a Husky man, what are good options for buying parts?

Thanks,

Mark

Husky bar question...

Is there a common method for adapting a D009 large mount to a K095 application? I'm doing a Dolmar refurb for a guy and would like to get him an nice OEM bar, but the only ones I've found are the D009 mount.

Not sure that's going to be possible. I think after stud size going from 8.2mm to 9mm, the adjuster alignment and oiler alignment will all be off. I think the K095 is just a more compact tail over all vs the D009 mount.

Thanks. I knew it may be a stretch for the reasons you mentioned. Just hadn't checked any of my bars yet. Probably not worth major modifications even if I could redneck a stud adapter. Just a very sentimental saw for the guy and I'd like to find him a new branded bar. Don't seem to be any K095's easily found out there in 20" 3/8 .050.

I'll keep huntin'.

Finally got the recall for the cutting. So I could test the 385 and 505 out.
Tree I started on 32" didnt reach across last 2 cuts. Pretty wood. Was told ash but I dont know about that. 2nd tree was ash.

I worked on 1st tree and after I finished mine up. Went and finished the other tree for the other guy that was cutting with 272 036. He said you cut little faster then I am used too. He was still on the small end. :P

385 stock impressed me with 32" full skip. 505 had 28" full comp and it to impressed me being on its first tanks since topend rebuild.

I came to the conclusion I will be able to sell the 385 in the future soon. 505 does all I need done.

I can understand that Kevin. 2083 my buddy has wasn't very different at all from a 385 stock or muffler mods.

I got this 345 with a batch of saws and trying to make it complete so I can sell it. All back together now with a new piston ring, oil pump shaft, clutch drum, cleaned up and running like a new saw now.

Is seems that something is missing here, but I can't identify anything from the IPL that I have. Anyone know if there is supposed to be some kind of a snubber or something here?

There is a movement restriction pin with no part number that goes there. A screw or roll pin would work if installed carefully so as not to crack the tank. Or you could probably even find a correct diameter pin without looking too hard. A drop of Permatex contact cement and you'd be good to go.

Working on a 575xp for a friend and it studders when opened up like it has intermittent spark. Cleaned coil and flywheel up with scotch brite and checked ground still acts same way. Would the coil off the 345 I have here work in place of the one on the 575 to test my theory of the coil being bad. 575 has a blue limited coil. Also looking at carb the butterfly’s don’t open very much when the throttle is squeezed. Is this normal on this saw haven’t messed with husky much.
