Bob, what is the price between 372XP and 372 XPG over there?
If they can make the 572 as tough as a 576 then that's doing pretty good. I like the way the 576 is built better than a 372. They just made it almost as heavy as a 390xp. I really liked how smooth the 576 I had was.The 5 series hasn't looked great so far to me. I had a 562 and loved it but they are build like children's toys
Yeap we shall see.If they can make the 572 as tough as a 576 then that's doing pretty good. I like the way the 576 is built better than a 372. They just made it almost as heavy as a 390xp. I really liked how smooth the 576 I had was.
See I'm the exact opposite..I like how the 372 is built better than the 575/6. Pretty much on every level I much prefer a 372 over a 576. I have run both the 575 and 576 carb and something about them just feels "off" to me compared to my 372. They have alot of torque and due to that they are deceivingly fast in the cut, I'll give them that. But other than that I'll take a 372, stock or otherwise. I'm sure the new 572 or whatever it's going to be called will be powerful AND fast like a 372, only on the next level like comparing a 357 to a 562.If they can make the 572 as tough as a 576 then that's doing pretty good. Oh I like the way the oe 372 runs better, but I'll take a 576 over a xtorq 372 and I'll take a 385 over a 576 does this make sense lolSee I'm the exact opposite..I like how the 372 is built better than the 575/6. @Spike60 Bob....correct me if im wrong but as far as you know or can tell ...is this a (mostly) USA launch ? The 562 was launched a yr or two ahead of our version ..560.. and im wondering if the same situation is on the cards for this new 5 group saw.Yeah, that's what it looks like. They wouldn't be starting this countdown thing in June if the saws weren't going to follow reasonably soon after that. I already told my rep that as soon as the product codes go live I want 30 regular's and 10 XPG's.
The other question is how long does the 372 stay in production and how many should I load up on. I did that with 346's, and the XPW's. But at some point you sell the last one, so does it really matter when that is?
I'm gonna call mine "muh precious"Wonder if they'll call it 571Xp as heritage to the 371xp
All good questions so far but, what ratio of oil is the saw going to require / run best with? Has the silver paint been vastly improved, because we know that affects the looks and therefore how the saw runs![]()

Edited the first one and buggered it up but..................to get back on track here. Simon and @Tor R will get a chance to see it before we do.
Europe will see the saw first, then North America will follow sometime later. "Sometime later" being very much the key part of that sentence and one that will have some folks a little disappointed when dates are announced. My reaction was AYFKM?
Well that sucks.
@Spike60 Bob- are there any published specs on the saw- weight/cc like Stihl has published for the 462?
