Negative on both. It's the wood hungry 562xp. I'm very happy with the performance of this saw.I like 'em! Either your wood is softer, or your chains are sharper up there.

Hand filed lpx in 8 month old red oak.
Probably not if you're cutting hickory or hedge all the time.Would it be overkill to only run a 562 with a 16" 3/8 bar all the time?

Do you think the new air filter cover with holes on the side is worth changing my old one since my saw is going to get ported ?
