Negative on both. It's the wood hungry 562xp. I'm very happy with the performance of this saw.

Probably not if you're cutting hickory or hedge all the time.

If this is what you want, than why not.

My 562 had a 18 inch bar before I had my MMWS 545.

My first saw was a husky 359 with a 16 inch bar and it did many, many cords of firewood.
