Got my 445 pinched in a tree trunk and after finally wrestling it loose it only runs for a second and quits. Starts right up every time but won't run. Quits before I can get my hand on the throttle. Any ideas?

Start off with the easiest, dumbest stuff first. Fuel in the tank? Chain brake disengaged? After that, I would take off the clutch cover, bar, and chain. See if getting pinched caused any sort of damage under there. Anything bent, cracked, or otherwise abnormal looking?

Not sure if its construction is similar to a 350, but you may have pulled the screw out of the left av spring. It tweaks the handle so the throttle linkage won't work. Or possibly you tore the intake boot

Possible you could have ripped the intake boot or impulse line while pulling it out.
I was thinking the same. I removed it and found no tears. I will try a low-pressure test and see if there are any pin hole leaks.
