I'm working on a buddy's saw that he said wouldn't start .
He tells me he lent it out to his dad and the saw quit running and won't start .
I come to find there isn't any compression so I tore it apart and found the ring frozen in the piston .
The pistons very blackish from what I'm thinking is carbon ...it also has some very lite scoring on both the cylinder and piston but not terribly bad ..I'm thinking I can clean them up and maybe get by with a new Caber .
My question is whats your thoughts on what may have caused this ?
I was thinking bad gas maybe .
Thanks... Ernie
