Everyone give me crap about my bench....ya ya ya.... I have my nice new bench in the shed which is a slab of wood wood 3" milled. just the shed isn't setup as well as my basement. I can stand in one spot and have everything I need depends on where I turn....one day my shop will move out of the basement and into the shed. for now....I'm stuck

One other thing that will make it alil easier getting the bearings off is to tap a broad chisel in behind the bearing will give alil room behind the bearing for the puller to get a bite

I've used the same 1" chisel for years to take bearing off the crank,it's got the perfect taper.

Nahhh just havin a little fun. Besides, my bench only looks like i use it, i just sprinkle some tools and spare screws everywhere.

I've tried to remove bearings with heat..

Doesn't work 4 me . ..but maybe I'll give it another shot.

Ive never had to use heat. If that bearing puller and a impact wont budge her its probably a no go

A regular two jaw puller works well to pull the bearings off the crank. A little heat helps especially when there's a brass oil pump gear to pull off along with the bearing.
