.040 off base?Gasket delete nets about 170 without raising exhaust. They run ok that way but benefit some from it.
I would start small like .020. Pistons are cheap if you go to far.What were u thinkin of trimming the skirt to?

Sounds good. Ill go that routeMost like the 50mm like you've got best. The least grinding any way. The xpw can be made to run as you know.

Thanks Skippy. When ole John got it in when removed the muffler and the piston had machine marks and the crosshatch was still on cylinder walls. Appears to only maybe been cranked!! I told John I gotta have this ole girl!! Lol!!!Very nice saw Keith
